Effective June 12th, 2024, Air India is implementing a significant change regarding the Reservation Booking Designator (RBD) for connecting sectors.
Highlights:
· The airline is transitioning to a new revenue management system based on the origin destination (OD) approach.
· With this change, passengers will be able to book both the international and domestic sectors using the Prime RBD.
· Prior to this change the RBD on the connecting sector differed from the Prime RBD.
· The new system simplifies the process by allowing the entire booking to be made using the Prime RBD.
